Engine

A Yanmar 4JH4-HTBE, 4-cylinder diesel engine of 81kW (110HP) at 3200 RPM is fitted with a matching 2.63:1 mechanical gearbox incorporating a 7-degree down angle.
A GRP Halyard Marine exhaust water separator and GRP waterlock are installed.


Freshwater System

Water supply is from a 750 litres approximately (165 gallons) pressure tested GRP tank installed under the port side of the saloon floor. A Frigomatic 24v, keel-cooled front-opening stainless steel galley refrigerator. A top opening, insulated box in galley that is a freezer.

Electronics

Raymarine ST60+ system with boat speed, wind speed/direction and depth instruments at the forward end of the cockpit. This system gives water depth, deep alarm, shallow alarm, sea temperature, current boat speed, average speed, trip log, total log, apparent wind speed and apparent wind direction.

Raymarine automatic pilot with twin Type 2 “long” 24v linear drive units, Type S3G
24v course computer and ST6002 control head at the pedestal. This unit is installed quite independently of the steering system and affords a back up to the main steering system.

Raymarine C80 Chart Plotter at chart table, incorporating a 12-Channel, Global Positioning System (GPS), interfaced to the autopilot. This unit also repeats sailing instrument information.

Raymarine Ray 240E Class D-DSC VHF radio-telephone with masthead antenna
(with integral mechanical wind indicator). There is a second station in the cockpit.

Pioneer Stereo FM Radio / CD Player fitted with twin loudspeakers in the Deck Saloon headlining and fader control to a pair of waterproof cockpit loudspeakers.

Internal Joiner & Fitting Out Detail

Interior joinery is in a combination of American White Oak veneer and solid timber.

Accommodation General Layout

Accommodation comprises of:
  • Double guest cabin forward with centreline “Island” berth.
  • Twin upper-lower berth cabin forward on starboard side.
  • Forward WC compartment with shower area.
  • Saloon with port and starboard seating and a fixed table with fold-over leaf.
  • Forward facing navigation station to starboard.
  • Walk-through galley with fridge and cool-box to port.
  • Owner’s stateroom with offset “Island berth”.
  • Aft WC compartment with integral shower stall.

The standard layout allows for a maximum of 6 berths, in 3 cabins, without using the saloon for sleeping, with 2 heads and showers.

Aft Cabin

The aft cabin is configured with a double berth slightly offset to port from the centreline. Beneath the berth there is a large drawer and further top-access for stowage or maintenance. Twin lockers are installed aft against the lazarette bulkhead. To starboard is a settee with stowage under, a dressing table/desk. To port is a large hanging locker and further stowage. From this cabin there is access to starboard to
the aft toilet and its separate shower cubicle, and to port the galley. Sole boards in
the aft cabin are varnished plain plywood, covered with carpet.

Galley

The galley is located to port of the cockpit, with cooker outboard and sink inboard.  Removable insulated panels give access to the engine.

A gimballed Force cooker in stainless steel, with 4-burners, grill and oven is fitted, all protected by a flame failure gas cut-off device. The cooker incorporates an electronic ignition system for all functions. A heavy gauge fiddle rail is fitted around the top of
the cooker with a pair of adjustable clamping pan-holders. A harbour lock and cooker crash-bar are fitted and the cooker is housed in a moulded GRP surround with
radiused corners for ease of cleaning.

Saloon

The saloon features a squared table with hinge-over, second leaf and settee area to port. Outboard of this and aft, is a large locker, which accommodates the supplied crockery and glasses.

The saloon table is designed to form, in its closed position, an occasional table, which is mounted on a very substantial pedestal incorporating a locker (which is the location for the washing machine). A locking device ensures the tabletop does not open in heavy weather. The tabletop is a veneered panel with sold timber edging. A grabrail
is incorporated on its inboard edge.

This table can open to form a large dining table when the upper leaf is folded out across the saloon and rests upon its removable support leg.

The saloon is extremely light and airy, with seven windows, of which two of the tree forward ones open. There are also two opening hull ports.

Access to the saloon from the cockpit is via a set of timber and stainless steel steps, with oval stainless steel handrails.

Forward Cabin

Forward accommodation provides a spacious double cabin in the bows, with a centreline double berth, with top-access bins stowage beneath. A fiddled joinered
shelf incorporates hinged-up lid stowage bins both port and starboard. To port aft
there is a large hanging locker. The deck is accessible via the overhead forehatch.

Forward Guest Cabin

starboard, is a twin guest cabin with upper and lower berths. There is stowage
beneath the lower berth, a hanging locker forward, and a vanity unit with drawer aft. These forward cabins share a large WC compartment to port, accessed from the passageway, incorporating a toilet, washbasin and a curtained-off shower area.

Heads/Shower Compartments

Each area will have a toilet, shower and washbasin. The separate owners aft shower cubicle is fitted with a hinged door to separate it from the toilet area. The forward guest shower unit is separated from the toilet area by a curtain.

Both compartments are fitted out with moulded white washbasin set under a flat, solid “Sandpiper” Avonite surface. Quality mixer taps and shower controls are installed.
A towel rail, toothbrush holder, soap dish and WC roll holder and a mirror are also installed. A locker for wash bags, cleaning materials and linen stowage are provided.

Spars and Rigging

Headsail Furling
  • Selden Furlex 400 manual furling gear with long toggle at lower end.
  • The furling control line leads aft to the cockpit through a Spinlock rope clutch mounted on the port side deck.

Sails By Dolphin Sails

  • Fully-Battened Mainsail – In Spectra with 5 battens, shelf foot and three rows
    of reefs.
  • Furling #1 Genoa – Approximately 140% Spectra crosscut with a foam luff pad and white acrylic UV stripes.
